　　马来亚大学（英语：University of Malaya；马来语：Universiti Malaya；简称:马大或UM），QS世界大学学科排名前100强，是全马来西亚规模最大、最著名、历史最悠久的学府，总校位于首都吉隆坡的班台谷(Lembah Pantai)。马来亚大学是马来西亚20所公立大学之一。2020年QS世界大学排名70位，2021年QS世界大学排名59位，2022年QS世界大学排名第65位（上海交通大学排名50位，中国科学技术大学排名98位）。现任的名誉校长是马来西亚霹雳州的苏丹，即马来西亚上任最高元首阿兹兰沙，现任校长是阿卜杜拉·萨努西·阿哈迈德博士。马来亚大学是马来西亚国内最受追捧的大学。

　　学校简介

　　马来亚大学成立于1905年，坐落在首都吉隆坡，占地面积4500多亩。马来亚大学拥有在校生3万余名，教授768名。马来亚大学是一所文科、理科和医学兼有的综合类大学，也是马来西亚教学和科研实力最为雄厚的大学。

　　它的前身是1905年成立的爱德华七世王学院（Kolej King Edward VII）和1929年成立的莱佛士学院（Kolej Raffles）。爱德华七世王学院主要是培养医学人才，莱佛士学院主要培养教育方面人才，马来亚大学于1962年1月1日正式成立。马来亚大学的华文教育显著，是马来西亚大学里最早开办中文的大学之一。马来亚大学是马来西亚唯一一所拥有斯坦福大学、东京大学、台湾国立大学、北京大学、清华大学等名校加盟的环太平洋大学联盟（APRU）成员大学，与海内外著名学府都有着广泛的联系。马来亚大学名人辈出，马来西亚除现任首相，其他历任首相和很多上层精英均毕业于马来亚大学，其口号宗旨是“科学是进步的根本”，激励着人们努力攀登科学高峰。?

　　学校下设11个学院，包括：文学与社会学院、商业与经济学院、语言学院、教育学院、法学院、环境建筑学院、计算机科学与信息科技学院、工程学院、医学院、牙科学院、理学院，以及5个研究中心、3个研究所、2个学术中心、1所继续教育中心。?

　　教学环境

　　马来亚大学拥有马来西亚较大的大学图书馆，藏书量十分丰富，有209万册藏书，仅语言类图书就达100万册，其中包括7万册中文图书。另外，其工学院、法学院、医学院等都设有图书馆，其藏书量均有4千至10万册不等。马来亚大学拥有马来西亚规模最大、最具影响力的中文系。?
