英雄亦凡人，凡人皆英雄。

　　成为伟大的英雄是每个孩子的梦想，每个孩子都在努力地模仿心中英雄的样子！她是第18届中国日报社“21世纪杯”全国英语演讲比赛高中组湖南赛区冠军，来自长沙雅礼中学高一的胡敏心同学。她的爸爸是一名外科医生，当她面对铺天盖地对医生的英雄赞歌时，她说英雄亦凡人，凡人皆英雄。

　　People have been saying great things about my dad lately. They keep telling me that my dad is a hero because of his job.

　　最近几乎所有人都在说我爸爸是伟大的，他们告诉我，因为我爸爸是一名医生，所以他是一个英雄。

　　My dad is a surgeon, and like many other doctors in China he offered to go to Wuhan to care for patients there. But the hospital where he works for kept him stayed, to make sure the patients here are still able to receive regular treatment. So my dad just follows his normal routine, analyzing patients’ diseases and performing chest operations.

　　我爸爸是一名外科医生，和其他的中国医生一样，他主动请缨支援武汉，但是医院让他留了下来，以确保本院病人的治疗能够得到保障。所以我爸爸和以往一样，依旧在自己的岗位上诊断病情，进行胸部手术。

　　With all kinds of compliments towards my dad, I become confused. My dad has been a doctor much longer than this corona disease lasts, why has no one else praised him as a hero before? Didn’t he deserve such compliments when this corona disease hasn’t come?

　　面对如此多对爸爸的赞美，我开始感到困惑。我爸爸很多年前就是医生了，远远早于新冠病毒疫情，为什么之前没有人赞美他是英雄呢？难道在疫情暴发前，他不值得这样的赞扬吗？

　　When 555电影网 we talk about heroes, what kind of image that often jumps into our mind? War leaders who conquered everything that stood in their way? Historic characters who ruled a strong kingdom? Or our dear movie stars: the Avengers?

　　当我们谈论英雄时，你们第一个想到的是什么形象？是那些战无不胜的战争领袖？是历史上的强国统治者？或是我们都爱看的电影中的复仇者们？

　　Well, they are indeed heroes, and they made marvelous achievements. However, are the pages of heroes just prepared for these so-called “supermen” and “superwomen”?

　　这些人确实是英雄，他们有着非凡的成就。但难道书写英雄的历史篇章只是为这些“超人”或“女超人”而准备吗？

　　I don't think so. Heroes are existed in our real lives, they can be seen and they are mortal just like you and l.

　　不，我不这样认为。英雄就在我们的生活中，我们能够看到英雄，他们和你我一样，也是平凡人。

　　Now many streets of Chinese cities are almost empty, the schools are closed and the shops are shut. But in this world some things remain unchanged.

　　现在中国许多城市的街道都很空旷，学校停课，商店关门。但是在这个世界上，许多事未曾改变。

　　If there’s a fire, just call 119, and you know that the firefighters will be there within minutes. If you happen to go out on the road you’ll come across police officers waving their flags to direct the traffic. Samely, in hospital, from doctors to nurses, cleaners to security. These people are still stick to their jobs, doing the same services like they ever did. The reason why they are still dedicated is not a desire for compliments, but out of the willingness of duty.

　　如果哪里着火了，拨打119火警，你知道消防员会在几分钟之内到达救援。如果你出门走在街上，你会发现交警依旧在指挥交通。同样在医院，从医生到护士、保洁到保安，他们仍然坚守在自己的岗位，像过去的每一天一样做着自己的工作。他们忠于职守，并不是因为渴望得到赞美，而是出于责任和使命。

　　These people who are or were dedicating themselves to the job do not need to be praised as heroes just for now, because they are heroes all the times. No matter what time we are getting through, no matter we are living a normal or special life, these heroes, they are always here, like they have never been gone.

　　对于这些一直在自己的工作岗位上奉献的人，我们不应该只在当下为他们送上赞美，因为他们一直都是英雄。不管我们正在经历什么艰难，无论我们过着怎样平常或特殊的生活，这些英雄，一直在这里，从未离开……

　　3月17日起，全国驰援湖北的医疗队陆续踏上归家的旅程，致谢每一位拼过命的英雄，致谢每一位守在平凡岗位上的英雄！
